Social Security Announces the 2013 Cost of Living Adjustment

The Social Security Administration has announced that there will be a 1.7 percent cost of living adjustment for Social Security beneficiaries in 2013. Applying the 2013 adjustment, the average disabled worker will receive $1,132.00 in monthly benefits. The average SSI recipient will get $710.00 per month. (Please note that individual benefit rates may vary, and these are average benefits.)
