Mediation and Dispute Resolution

McCroskey Law proudly offers dispute resolution and mediation services. We recognize that disputes can often be resolved without a trial, and that mediators play a vital role in dispute resolution. A mediator’s job is to encourage dialogue between disputing parties, help assess the strengths and weaknesses of a case, and work towards an amicable settlement.

Robert Chessman has been a state-certified mediator since 2003. A well-respected trial lawyer, he has also served as a facilitative mediator for the Center for Restorative Justice (previously the Westshore Dispute Resolution Center), an arbitrator for the State Bar of Michigan Grievance Commission, and a hearing officer for the City of Norton Shores and the City of Muskegon. Mr. Chessman is available as a private, facilitative mediator in civil cases.
